Iaido & Jodo in Melbourne

Iaido is often described as "the way of the sword". It is a martial art dedicated to studying and perfecting Japanese sword techniques through the practise of kata.

We are based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and practice Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei Iaido and Jodo.

The ZNKR or All Japan Kendo Federation styles (also called Seitei Iaido and Jodo) are amongst the most widely practised styles of swordsmanship and Jodo in the world.

Do you study Iaido to improve your technique or to improve your mind?

Chikushinkai is affiliated with the Victorian Kendo Renmei and the Australian Kendo Renmei for ZNKR Iaido & Jodo and also has a study group training in Tamiya Ryu Iaijutsu.
